Festival Program

Presented here for your edification and viewing pleasure is the 2010 Southern Oregon Kite Festival program. The original files totaled nearly three quarters of a gigabyte (as FTP'd to our printer), but has been reduced in size to a somewhat petite 25 MB.

As you may or may not note in the 'credits', the logo this year is by Ron Gibian of Visalia, California. If you don't know who Ron is, you probably haven't been in kiting for very long.

Program design and production was done by AL Stroh of Brookings, Oregon.

As a result of extreme compression, some of the smaller fonts are not of the highest quality, but are still legible. In some cases, the conversion from CMYK color mode to RGB has taken a bit of the edge out of the color. That was unavoidable, since the files were created to a specific CMYK color profile used by our printer's printing press. In most cases though, the color is still very good.

The program itself is 8.5" x 11", full-color and was printed on a $1+ MILLION dollar press. Good stuff.

So, how do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice! How do you get to fly at the SOKF? The SOKF is the largest Invitational Kite Festival in the country. If you're good, we'll hear about you. If you're REAL good, you'll get invited. You're always welcome to come, watch and help support the festival (we ALWAYS need volunteers).

See you in Brookings!
